Sanforizing Rubber Belts & Spare Parts

About Sanforizing Process

Sanforizing Process


The process of sanforizing is all about maintaining the shrinkage. The shrinking process is as old as 70 to 80 years. The process is technically known as Controlled Compressive Shrinkage. It is also known as sanforized.

It is a mechanical process carried out without the use of any chemical. The term sanforizing is named after the inventor of the process who was known as Mr Sanford L Cluett.

During the textile production processes like bleaching, weaving, and dyeing, clothes are passed under incessant tension conditions. The clothes are in the form of web materials or yarns. The tension within the fabrics is reduced and removed by removing the friction. The process of sanforizing reduces this friction.
