Arvind Rub-Web Controls Ltd. is the foremost manufacturer of industrial rubber rollers in India. Industrial Rubber Rollers are mainly made of metal core and coating of rubber. Core length and diameter can be decided as per the requirement of the application. Rubber rollers carry main characteristics as under:
- Chemically resistant coating protects core and shaft and restricts damage due to adverse chemical effect. (Chemical protection)
- Elastic and sturdy coating protects against bumping, scratching etc. (Elastic protection)
- Elasticity of the coating efficiently absorbs any friction and keeps process smooth and easy. (Friction protection)
- Minor changes in machine precision are adjusted automatically. (Mechanical protection)
- Maintains the original shape against any distortion. (Damage protection)
Rubber rollers also work as :
Electrical Insulator or dielectric
Conductor / semi conductor to protect against electrical variations.
Silicon rubber works as excellent release material
Surfaces of a rubber roller can be different like grooved roller, plate roller, helical processing as per the requirement of the specific application.
PERFORMANCE OF RUBBER ROLLERS
Performance of rubber rollers depend upon various parameters as under
Core: Main body on which rubber coatings are made is known as core. A well designed and sturdy core ensures frictionless working. Mechanical precision, uniform hardness and appropriate selection of the material of core ensures stability and smooth performance.
Coating: Material of the coating is very important. It should be very appropriate for the specific application and process. Chemical properties of the coating material plays vital role in achieving final result. Even coating of the material – uniform thickness – and uniform hardness are basic requirement. Coating carries so many properties at a time like chemical property, mechanical property, elasticity property, electrical property etc. Bonding of the coating with the core must be checked and tested in very prior phase before going further.
WHY NIP ROLLERS ARE NEEDED?
Nip rollers are mainly made of stainless steel, carbon steel and alloy steel with or without coating of rubber or like material suitable for the application.
Nip rollers are also known as Pinch roller, Lay on roller, Squeezing roller, Padding rollers etc. Nip rollers are mainly used in the industries like : Textile industry, Paper industry, Packaging industry, Plywood and Laminate industry, Steel industry, Tyre industry etc.
Main purpose of using Nip rollers are to combine two (or more) different web materials, may they be fabric to fabric (Textile industry), Paper/film to paper/film (Paper industry) film/foil to film/foil, (Packaging industry), rubber to rubber (Tyre industry) etc. Nip roller is placed mainly from the out side with the main moving roller (the part of main process) to create appropriate pressure on the passing webs to deliver a combined web releasing for further process. It works as a pad and so called Padding roller also. It is the roller laid on the main roller so it is called Lay On roller also.
